PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a train operation control method and a train operation control system capable of securing a safe operation of a train inexpensively and simply in a traffic system for transporting intermediate quantity such as a light railway and a guiding rail type railway. SOLUTION: A station section L where a train C exists is set as a blocked section by not a track circuit which uses the rail usually used in a railway but a ground unit without electric power supply having prescribed information. The on-track detecting information of the train is transmitted/received by not a wired communication line but a communication line E (a portable telephone line).
