METHOD FOR PRODUCING LOW GRADE POLYMER OF alpha-OLEFIN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a low grade polymer of anα-olefin by which the attachment of the polymer to the wall surface of a vapor-phase part of a reactor is effectively prevented, and a long-term stable operation is enabled when producing the low grade polymer of theα-olefin by carrying out a low-grade polymerization reaction of theα-olefin in the presence of a catalyst and an organic solvent. SOLUTION: This method for producing the low grade polymer of theα-olefin by carrying out the low-grade polymerization reaction of theα-olefin in the presence of the catalyst and the organic solvent comprises carrying out the low-grade polymerization reaction while jetting a solvent containing the organic solvent to the wall surface of the vapor-phase part of the reactor as a pressurized fluid in a wire shape or a rod shape to clean the wall surface of the vapor-phase part of the reactor.
