PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turning device capable of improving workability in truing. SOLUTION: This turning device is provided with a disk-shaped grinding wheel 14, a grinding wheel shaft 12 installed with the grinding wheel 14 in its tip part, an electric motor 13 rotating the grinding wheel shaft 12 around the shaft, a work shaft 15 disposed orthogonally to the grinding wheel shaft 12, detachably attached with a work in its tip part, and rotatably retained, an electric motor 30 rotating the work shaft 15 around the shaft, a grinding chamber 11 shielding the tips of the grinding shaft 12 and the work shaft 15 including the work and the grinding wheel, and a clutch device 40 shielding the transmission of the rotation from the electric motor 30 to the work shaft 15. This device is provided with a grip part 16 for manually turning the work shaft 15, which is required in installing a truing device, turning the work shaft, and re-molding the outer circumferential surface of the grinding wheel 14 by the truing device, outside the grinding chamber 11.
