PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair cleanser composition retaining its foamability in cleansing, stably dispersed with a silicone derivative and oil component as the insoluble components therein, enabling the effective insoluble components to remain on and adhere to the to-be-cleansed object (the hair) after cleansing, thus exhibiting good conditioning effect. SOLUTION: This hair cleanser composition comprises (a) alkyl sulfates shown by the general formula: RO-(CH2 CH2 O)n-SO3 M and consists of a specific group of alkyl sulfates differing in the ethylene oxide addition number of moles in the general formula from each other and/or salts thereof, (b) an amphoteric surfactant and/or a semipolar nonionic surfactant, (c) a cationic polymer and (d) the water-insoluble components.
