PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration damping structural body which shows damping characteristic similar to an oil damper when a product in a state incorporated in the product is resonated, and which can reveal favorable damping characteristic even in a region higher than resonance frequency. SOLUTION: The structural body is provided with a rod-like vibrational body 11, a sliding body 8 retained on an outer peripheral face of the vibrational body, and stoppers 7c, 7d which are disposed to space in both sides of the sliding body 8 in lengthwise direction of the vibrational body and which stop the sliding body 8 to move more than constant distance. The sliding body 8 moves integral with the vibrational body 11 in case of not impinging and abutting to the stopper 7c or 7d, and is being retained on the vibrational body so as to be able to slide on the outer peripheral face of the vibrational body 11 in case of being subjected to restraint by the stopper.
