PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome a problem such that a driving space is made smaller when a traveling machine body is set so that a tread between left and right crawler units can be minimized. SOLUTION: Constitutionally, the tread between the left and right crawler units 2L and 2R is made freely adjustable. When the tread between the left and right crawler units 2L and 2R is set at a minimum distance A, settings are made not only so that an excavating device 11, including a working part 17, can fall within the minimum distance A under a state of being kept raised but also so that left and right side edges 3B and 3C of the traveling machine body 3 can fall within the minimum distance A.
