PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording paper, which has an image quality equivalent to a medium produced by employing a photographic printing paper base material or a film base material and a uniform glossy feeling through the improvement of the image quality and the betterment of the uniformity of the glossy feeling, which has a few dusting-down rate and also is excellent in post-workability. SOLUTION: The ink jet recording glossy paper is produced by providing an aluminum hydroxide-containing priming layer having the coating surface with the Bekk smoothness of 25 s or more on a support, coating a gloss revealing layer including a pigment with an average particle diameter of 0.5 μm or less and a binder on the support and finally cast-finishing the gloss revealing layer under wet state under the condition that the dusting-down rate defined by (B-A)/B×100% (wherein A is the weight of a recording paper having the area of 0.03 m<2> equidistantly cut at eight places; and B is the weight of the paper before cutting is 0.25% or less. |
