PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflection type color liquid crystal display body free from light absorption by a polarizing plate, having high light utilization efficiency, bright and free from a double image of a letter and the like. SOLUTION: A display device in which both a reflection type display and a transmission type display can be performed has a pair of substrates disposed opposite to each other, a light controlling layer interposed between the pair of substrates, a semitransmissive reflection film provided on the light controlling layer side of one substrate of the pair of substrates and capable of transmitting and reflecting light and a backlight. |
