<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adaptive switching device for allowing a driver to operate vehicle-mounted equipment such a state as to hold a steering wheel. SOLUTION: Since the adaptive switching device comprises a plurality of pressure sensors 3a arranged in a ring part 1a of the steering wheel at a predetermined interval, an output treating means 5 for detecting the arrangement of the finger holding the ring part 1a by the output of a pressure sensor 3a, and a controlling means for generating an operating function of the vehicle- mounted equipment corresponding to the arrangement of the finger detected by the output treating means 5 as a menu, displaying the menu on a displaying means 7, and commanding the selected item corresponding to the menu for the vehicle-mounted equipment to carry on, the vehicle-mounted equipment can be operated with the finger without taking the hand off the steering wheel 1, a front safety confirmation is not neglected due to taking care of the operation of the vehicle-mounted equipment, and it is unnecessary to operate a switch and a button of the vehicle-mounted equipment by extending the arm so that a driving attitude is not feared to change.</p> |
