PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly reliably operate a centrifugal compressor operated under high pressure. SOLUTION: In a uniaxial multistage centrifugal compressor 1, a plurality of centrifugal impellers 2, 2, etc., are installed to a rotary shaft 21. A seal device 28 is arranged at a machine-outside of all impellers for preventing operating gas flowing in the plurality of impellers from leaking outside the machine. Drain gathering in the seal device is discharged by using drain discharge devices 12, 13, and 15.
