PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expansion post capable of surely preventing drop of a movable post, keeping the strength of the movable post, and reducing the machining manhour of a manufacturing process. SOLUTION: In this expansion post, when a wire material is broken due to some cause, a projecting part provided on a slider is inserted in a space part of a hollow member of a constant load energizing means to forcedly and surely stop the rotation by the action of the constant load energizing means provided on the inside of a pedestal, an energizing means for energizing a pivot downward, a guide groove provided in a support frame for limiting the vertical direction of the pivot supporting a third pulley, and an inclined groove for changing the vertical movement of the shaft to the horizontal movement of a slider.
