PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for plating peeling test that is excellent in detecting sensitivity and reliability for plating adhesiveness evaluation of plating products (aluminum plating, zinc plating or copper plating, etc.). SOLUTION: By imposing a test piece to a tension device and taking the broken part of the broken test piece and its surrounding surface as the test face region, the plating adhesiveness is evaluated based on the variation of surface conditions by measuring the color difference or the surface unevenness generated from the broken part of the plating film (due to crack, blistering/ floating, and peeling, etc.), and the non-broken part (the part keeping adhesive state). e.g. a camera for imaging the test piece is set to the tension test device, the surface condition of the broken test piece in image data is taken in, and the color difference or the surface unevenness generated from the broken part of the plating film and the non-broken part is compared with a plating density evaluation standard obtained precedently and the plating adhesiveness is evaluated.
