The device is set up on a sailboat comprising a sail-mast moving transversally in respect to the hull and in dependence of the wind force. The leeward-side hull of the multi-hull sinks secured to float-rod guides, in consequence of the sail-mast movement. Thus, the buoyancy caused by sinking opposes the heeling moment caused by the wind. To achieve the same performances, the single-hull sailboat comprises two floats positioned on the two sides of the hull. The crew can manually set any required sailing condition, acting the invented device installed between the sail-mast and the lateral hulls or the lateral floats. Therefore, we can use a single sailboat for many purposes, enormously increasing the number of the users.
|
