The invention relates to an automatic multi-speed vehicle gearbox. To select the gears in said gearbox several output paths, which are summarised in a planetary gear set summarising gear, are provided between an input shaft and an output shaft. According to the invention, the ratio change is stepped in at least one of the output paths. In addition, at least one ratio is selected by a positive engagement.
