The invention concerns an acoustic device for attenuating sound waves in a space located opposite the ground (16). The acoustic device comprises: a structure forming a panel (10), including two main surfaces (12, 14) and a middle plane P, said structure (10) being designed to absorb at least part of the sound waves reaching said main surfaces (12, 14), whereby the energy of the sound waves propagated in the neighbourhood of said structure (10) is at least attenuated; and at least a mobile element (30) forming a stand supported on the ground (16) and linked to said panel-forming structure (10), said stand-forming mobile element (30) being designed to maintain said panel-forming structure (10) above said space portion (46) so that one of said main surfaces (12, 14) is arranged opposite said space portion (46), whereby the acoustic device can be moved along the ground (16).
