PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a low-fusion-point glass member 13 which holds a lens 11 in a shell 12 from cracking owing to thermal stress generated by the heat generated when the shell 12 is joined with a stem 62 by resistance welding. SOLUTION: The shell 12 composed of a cylindrical 1st part 12a and an annular 2nd part 12b which is formed at the upper end of the 1st part continuously to the 1st part and also has a hole 12d for fitting the lens 11 in the center has a cylindrical 3rd part 12c which extends upward beyond the 2nd part 12b as an extension body of the 1st part and reinforcing members 14a and 14b, which prevent the shell from deforming due to the stress operating on the shell, on the top and reverse surfaces of the 2nd part 12b.
