PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical switch with which many optical fibers can be switched by setting a stroke for biaxial driving of a mirror large, in the optical switch composed so that biaxial turning of the mirror can be performed in order to make output light from an input optical fiber arranged in a matrix form selectively incident on an output optical fiber arranged in a matrix form. SOLUTION: In the optical switch which makes the output light from the input optical fiber arranged in the matrix form selectively incident on the output optical fiber arranged in the matrix form, a primary side mirror driving unit 10 in the matrix form and a secondary side mirror driving unit 10 in the matrix form are composed of a body 11, a supporting member 12 which secures a degree of freedom for a three-dimensional motion of the mirror by supporting the central region of the rear side of the surface of the mirror 6, a pair of ropes 13 and 13 fixed to an opposite side of the mirror, and a pair of electromagnetic actuators 20 and 20 provided with pulleys 21 for winding the ropes. |
