PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmission substrate capable of realizing efficient optical transmission. SOLUTION: This optical transmission substrate A is provided with a transmitting circuit element 2 and a receiving circuit element 3 mounted on a printed circuit board 1, and an optical transmission body 4 for propagating an optical signal B for transmitting and receiving an optical signal B between the circuit elements 2 and 3. The optical transmission body 4 is provided with a transmission deflecting element 5 for deflecting the optical signal B transmitted from the transmitting circuit element 2 in the direction of the receiving circuit element 3, and also a reception deflecting element 6 for deflecting the optical signal B transmitted from the transmitting circuit element 2 and propagating in the optical transmission body 4 in the direction of the receiving circuit element 3. The transmission deflecting element 5 or/and the receiving deflecting element 6 totally reflects the optical signal B and deflects the optical signal.
