PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To strengthen the floor surface of a storing and retrieving stage and secure the floor area not more than needed, and to eliminate a useless vacant space of a storing stage and complicatedness of a device and a control system. SOLUTION: A third elevating lift 12 loaded with a turning device 18 is provided on a storing floor 2 to elevate a hoist way of a circulating path 5 for elevating a first elevating lift 7 and on its extension, and when a vehicle C is delivered between a storing and retrieving floor 1 and the storing floor 2, the direction of the vehicle C is changed by the turning device 18.
