PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-propelled soil improving machine and mixing equipment provided in the same, and a method for removing foreign matter from the mixing equipment, which can ensure stable productivity by returning rapidly to soil improvement operations, even if the foreign matter is caught in the mixing equipment. SOLUTION: This self-propelled soil improving machine is equipped with: a travel device 2, a hopper 12 which receives sediment to be charged and improved; a carrier conveyor 13 which conveys the sediment to be improved, received by the hopper 12; a soil improving material feeder 19 which adds a soil improving material to the sediment to be improved; the mixing equipment 200 which has an opening/closing lid 201B for covering a soil discharging opening provided in a lower part of a main body casing 201, and produces improved soil by mixing the soil improving material with the soil to be improved, received from the carrier conveyor 13; and a discharge conveyor 60 which discharges the improved soil produced by the mixing equipment 200.
