PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a comfortable shirt fabric having high water absorption and highly moisture-absorbing/desorbing properties. SOLUTION: This comfortable shirt fabric is knitted by using a multi-size combined polyester fiber and a moisture-absorbing/desorbing synthetic fiber of sheath-core conjugate type in an amount of <=50 wt.%, so as to have a meshy texture whose open area ratio is not less than 10% and not more than 40%, wherein the multi-size combined polyester fiber is composed of such yarn threads that a cross section of the yarn thread has one or more convex parts on its periphery and is flattened to have an out-of-roundness of 1.5 to 5, further the polyester fiber is composed of two or more kinds of yarn threads having sizes different form each other, and the moisture-absorbing/desorbing synthetic fiber of sheath-core conjugate type is composed of a core component comprising a polyalkylene oxide modified compound obtained by reacting a polyalkylene oxide with a polyol together with an aliphatic diisocyanate compound, or comprising the modified compound and a polyamide, and a sheath component comprising the polyamide.
