PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper containing composite material prepared by heat- kneading laminated paper grinds obtained by grinding a laminated paper and polypropylene, wherein the composite material provides moldings having good appearance with uniform distribution of the laminated paper grinds without burning the laminated paper grinds at molding. SOLUTION: The paper containing composite material is prepared by heat- kneading the laminated paper grinds and polypropylene, the laminated paper grinds being obtained by grinding the laminated paper provided with a polyethylene laminate layer or layers on one or both sides of the paper. The ratio (A/B) of the massflow rate (MFR, referred to 'A') of the polypropylene as measured by JIS A 7210 and the massflow rate (MFR, referred to 'B') of the polyethylene as measured by JIS A 7210 is from 40 to 500.
