PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To distribute the stress caused by the engagement of a feed pin in a direction orthogonal to the carrying direction, and to avoid any tape stuffing by forming feed holes in the center of a carrier tape. SOLUTION: The carrier tape 10 includes a plurality of pockets 14 to accommodate electronic components 12, and the plurality of pockets 14 are formed in two rows continuously in the longitudinal direction of the tape across the row of the feed holes 16. For example, the feed holes 16 are formed in the center of the Carrier tape 10. This carrier tape 10 is used for carrying an electronic component storage device, and carried in a reel-to-reel manner. During the carriage, the feed pins provided on a feed mechanism are engaged with the feed holes 16. When the pocket 14 reaches the feed position of the electronic components 12, the carriage is stopped, and the electronic components 12 fed from a parts feeder or the like are transferred inside the pockets 14 by a collet.
