PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging method for an object to be packaged by a packer, by which the object, i.e., a container having an inlet with a flange formed on the inlet rim and filled with a prescribed amount of liquid and the like can be charged into a packaging bag in a sanitary, stable, and effective manner, and an apparatus for the packer. SOLUTION: The object fed in a horizontal position is transferred through a first transfer means having a first belt and a second transfer means having a second belt, both transfer means arranged consecutively. The object rises as it falls naturally from the end of a feed means and the inlet of the object is received by the pulley of the first transfer means. Then, the object suspended by its flange is moved to the downstream via an interlocking operation by the first and the second belts. The object reaching a sending out means is separated from a processing object by a disc member and is sent forcibly to the position of a cramp strip, where the object is lowered to the packaging bag placed below and the cramp strip is opened, allowing the object to fall into the packaging bag.
