PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric discharge machining apparatus which can improve machining accuracy by effectively compensating the displacement of a shaft due to thermal deformation of the machine frame caused by temperature change of machining fluid. SOLUTION: There is provided a control means 11 which is configured such that a signal receiver 12 receives a power on/off signal from a temperature control unit 7, and according to the on/off of the signal received by the signal receiver 12, a correction amount calculating unit 13 calculates the correction amount and outputs the correction amount to an amplifier output commanding unit 14, and the amplifier output commanding unit 14 transmits a shaft feeding command corresponding to the correction amount to a driving means 15. Consequently, thermal deformation of the machine frame caused by temperature change of the machining fluid can be easily and effectively compensated without using a special apparatus, and machining accuracy can be improved.
