A method for establishing and verifying communication between a viewer of a visual presentation and the company broadcasting the presentation and/or the programme format that is downloaded from the company, wherein respective sub-codes are transmitted to the viewer's display apparatus during at least one commercial and/or at least one programme shown in given, successive time slots, and whrein the sub-codes collectively give a unique code. When the viewer verifies a received unique code via a selected transmission medium either directly with the company or via the programme format that is optionally stored in the viewer's display apparatus, the viewer is credited with a monetary benefit and/or a programme-related, normally payable benefit.
