PANELING ELEMENT FOR THE ROOF OF A VEHICLE INTERIOR

The invention relates to a paneling element (1) for the roof of a vehicle interior. The paneling element comprises a panel plate (2) and support elements linked therewith. Said support elements configure a frame (3) which surrounds the panel plate (2) at least in a U-shaped form and which is composed of at least two interlinked frame segments (4). The frame (3) preferably surrounds the panel plate (2) completely. The inventive element allows reduction of the size of the supporting, complex component, thereby also reducing tool costs. The different components can also be used in vehicles of different structural shapes of the body. The invention further relates to a method for producing corresponding paneling elements.
