PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suction member for capturing/guiding a thread strip that enables extreme weight reduction, realizes high speed guiding of the thread strip, and prevents enlargement of a driving mechanism. SOLUTION: A positioning part 26 for positioning a sucked and captured thread strip at a predetermined position in the width direction in the suction port 16a position is formed on the inner wall of the suction member 16 for capturing/guiding a thread strip. At least, a hollow body part leading from the suction port 16a to the positioning part 26 is integrated by resin, and the positioning part 26 is provided with a hard guide 28.
