The invention relates to a patient card with a chip (2), provided with an integrated memory in which personal data for a patient are recorded. Accordi ng to the present invention, said card (1) comprises a sensor field (3), which permits a fingerprint to be matched with recorded fingerprint data, as well as a program control, which permits the patient data, recorded in said integrat ed memory, to be released in case of recorded and detected fingerprint data matching.
