PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a physical distribution system for medicines capable of dealing with patients' daily requirements for medicines using a minimal quantity of medicines in stock, thus making it possible to operate a dispensing pharmacy with a small capital. SOLUTION: Medicines purchased from a predetermined mass-marketing pharmaceutical company are stored in a warehouse 3 of a physical distribution company 2. For stock management 6, the amount of medicines stored in the warehouse 3 is saved in a stock management database 7 for each name of medicine, and once the stock of any of the medicines has reached a set amount, it is purchased from the pharmaceutical company 1 for replenishment, while a dispensing pharmacy 4 sells patients 5 the medicine while keeping the amount of the medicine within a few days of stock. The name of the medicine and the number of units sold are inputted to a POS device 13 provided in the dispensing pharmacy 4 and are saved in the database 7; an order for any medicine whose amount is equal to a few days of stock is placed to the warehouse 3. |
