METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THERMOPLASTIC RESIN COMPOSITION CONTAINING FLUOROPOLYMER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a thermoplastic resin composition which is capable of affording a composition of a thermoplastic resin in which a fluoropolymer is well dispersed and which has excellent production stability for a long time because very little blockade of a pump or a supply line caused by coagulation of the fluoropolymer takes place. SOLUTION: When a thermoplastic resin and an aqueous dispersion of a fluoropolymer are melt kneaded using a screw extruder, the aqueous dispersion of the fluoropolymer is supplied continuously at a constant rate to the extruder independently using a diaphragm pump having structure where the diaphragm liquid contact surface facing the aqueous dispersion of the fluoropolymer does not directly contact the diaphragm head during the diaphragm reciprocation while the thermoplastic resin is supplied continuously at a constant rate to the extruder and the thermoplastic resin and the aqueous dispersion of the fluoropolymer are melt kneaded.
