PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drum brake which materializes weight reduction by relaxing required strength with respect to a backing plate which leads to reduction of material thickness, change of materials or the like. SOLUTION: In a drum brake 8 for a vehicle, an anchor 32 is provided to a flange member 59 directly fixed to non-rotation member 60 through the medium of a career plate 80, which leads to relaxation of required strength and to configuration by light-metal materials such as aluminum with respect to a backing plate 10, whereby weight reduction of the whole drum brake can be materialized.
