PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce or eliminate uncomfortable feeling felt by an occupant when environmental conditions are varied in an air conditioner for vehicle which learns the taste of the occupant and automatically controls an air conditioning state. SOLUTION: When a difference between set temperatures read before and after the environmental conditions are varied is large, the set temperatures are gradually varied and, based on the information on the gradually varying set temperatures, the air conditioned state of a cabin is automatically controlled to gradually vary the temperature of blowing air. Thus uncomfortable feeling by the abrupt change of a blowing air temperature can be reduced or eliminated.
