PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber reduced in allergens capable of automatically reducing allergens attached to fiber products without freshly applying an allergen-reducing treatment and further recovering an allergen-reducing function by a simple operation. SOLUTION: This fiber reduced in allergens is obtained by spinning a fiber raw material obtained by copolymerizing a polymerizable monomer having an allergen-reducing component. The allergen-reducing component is preferably at least one compound selected from the group consisting of a compound having at least one group among functional groups represented by formulas 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 on the side chain of a liner polymer, a compound obtained by polymerizing or copolymerizing a monomer containing at least one group among the functional groups represented by these formulas or a monomer having a monohydric phenol group, an aromatic hydroxy compound such as an aromatic heterocyclic hydroxy compound, a carbonate of an alkali metal, alum, a laurylbenzene sulfonate, a laurylsulfate, a polyoxyethylenelauryl ether sulfate, a phosphoric acid salt and zinc sulfate and/or lead acetate.
