PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic dispersion forming a coated membrane capable of easily recovering its hydrophilicity by a light irradiation even on being polluted by a lipophilic material, a method and apparatus for producing the same and a hydrophilicity-imparting agent by using the same. SOLUTION: This ceramic dispersion contains 100 pts.wt. ceramics, 1-50 pt.wt. oxalic acid salt of a metal selected from titanium, zirconium and hafnium (e.g. titanium oxalate [Ti2 (C2 O4 )3 ], titanium oxyoxalate [(TiO)2 OC2 O4 ], dioxalatetitnic acid ammonium NH4 [Ti(C2 O4 )2 ], oxodioxalatetitanic acid ammonium (NH4 )2 [TiO(C2 O4 )2 ], trioxalatetitanic acid ammonium (NH4 )2 [Ti(C2 O4 )3 ], zirconium oxalate [Zr2 (C2 O4 )3 ], zirconium oxyoxalate [(ZrO)2 OC2 O4 ], hafnium oxalate [Hf2 (C2 O4 )3 and hafnium oxyoxalate [(HfO)2 OC2 O4 ]) and a dispersing medium.
