PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a book conveyor preventing books from moving out of an opening of a book storage part when the books are stored after the book storage part has become empty. SOLUTION: The book conveyor for conveying books located on the bottom surface part 4 of the book storage part 3 includes an opening 7 with an open area equal to the amount of books, with the bottom surface part serving as the bottom of the books, and a sensor K3 for detecting if there are books. A pressure member 15 having a shaped part 15a which projects at a height g not greater than the thickness of the books is driven to reciprocate between a back position and a forward position; if the senor detects that there is no book, the pressure member is driven to the forward position.
