The fixed position brake for road vehicles has brake components, in the operation of which is a spring accumulator, with a spring acting on a transmission member having a tension direction corresponding to the operation of the brake, and in the opposite direction - when the brake is not operated - is adjustable by connection to a hydraulic circuit and hydraulic activation of the transmission member. Connected to the pressure side of the hydraulic circuit is a pressure chamber. The spring is formed of the pressure type (13), which against the tension direction (30), by pressurization of the pressure chamber (12) is compressible. In the connection of the pressure chamber producing the non-operation of the fixture brake to the pressure side of the hydraulic circuit (27) is a check valve (15) blocking the output direction of the hydraulic circuit.
