PURPOSE: A control device for a car rear alarm and a method for the same are provided to improve the occurrence of error alarm with the change of software without changing the hardware by setting the alarm condition sensing level by discriminating the condition into various intervals with the software in response to the time. CONSTITUTION: A control device for a car rear alarm includes a controlling block(100) for outputting a predetermined ultrasonic generation control signal, setting a comparison table stored at a memory by a sensing level and for outputting a predetermined control signal to generate each of the alarm sounds in response to the change of the distance between the car and the obstacle, a comparison signal generation block(200) for outputting by generating the predetermined comparison signal synchronized with the comparison control signal outputted from the controlling block(100), an ultrasonic generation block(300) for outputting the ultrasonic generation signal with a predetermined frequency synchronized with the ultrasonic generation signal outputted from the controlling block(100), a sensor driving block(400) for outputting a predetermined driving signal to drive the sensor synchronized with the generation signal outputted from the ultrasonic generation block(300), an ultrasonic sensor(500) for outputting the ultrasonic signal with a predetermined frequency synchronized with the predetermined driving signal outputted from the sensor driving block(400) and for receiving the signal reflected from the obstacle, a receiving signal amplifying block(600) for outputting by amplifying the signal received from the ultrasonic sensor(500) and a comparison block(700) for comparing the signal applied by the receiving signal amplifying block(600) and the comparison block(700) and for outputting the signal to the controlling block(100) in response to the compared result.
