<p>A tank (2), adapted for installation at least partially underground, includes a number of peripheral formations (12) which enable a number of like tanks to be connected together (Figures 8 and 9). Preferably each tank is hexagonal, hollow double walled and formed from a plastics material, furthermore the inside of the tank may be funnel shaped. The formations may be of tongue and groove type, such that a tongue fits into a groove and laterally restrains it therein. A fluid treatment apparatus comprising a number of said tanks may further include mobile or fixed media for use in a biofilm treatment process, a launder or a settler.</p> |
