摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cellulose type carrier for immobilizing a microorganism having cellulase resistance which is suitable for treating waste water such as waste nitrogen-containing waste water, especially a food plant waste water, and a manufacturing method therefor. SOLUTION: The carrier for immobilizing the microorganism has a cellulose compound which is obtained by substantially and chemically crosslinking hydroxyl groups of cellulose and/or a cellulose derivative by using a crosslinker having a plurality of functional groups as a main component. A vicinity of its surface is covered with an epoxy resin produced from a polyethyleneimine using a crosslinker and which has the cellulase resistance. A polyethyleneimine coating layer does not exist in an 0.5 mm inside part from the surface or more. In the manufacturing method for the carrier for immobilizing the microorganism, the cellulose and/or cellulose derivative is reacted with the crosslinker under an alkaline condition in which the cellulose and/or cellulose derivative is not dissolved and then subjected to the epoxydation treatment.</p>
