PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic transfusion apparatus functioning also as a drain of a wound. SOLUTION: The automatic transfusion apparatus has a hard vessel bearing a blood collection bag, and a manual portable vacuum source borne by the vessel in the interior. The apparatus can assume a blood collection mode in which the vacuum source communicates with a void between the collection bag and the vessel and produces negative pressure and sucks blood from a wound and a reinjection mode in which the vacuum source is removed from the vessel, directly connected to a discharge pipe leading to the wound, and sucks unnecessary fluids from the wound. The vessel is turned over, connected to a transfusion duct and reinjects blood in the collection bag. The void is vented to the surrounding atmosphere, and makes blood in the collection bag to be reinjected by the action of specific gravity alone. A hydrophobic vent is connected to the collection bag and releases air collected in the bag to the void.
