PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect an unbalance condition in an area in which a drum is turned at a high speed. SOLUTION: When speed variable control of a motor 15 is carried out on the basis of rotation speed detected by a rotation sensor 31, a control circuit 26 gives instructions so that a phase of a supply voltage to the motor 15 becomes a leading phase to an induced voltage generated in each phase coil. The control circuit 26 determines that the unbalance condition is great when a phase difference indication value in the controlled condition, in which the drum is controlled to an unbalance detection execution rotation speed (1,200 rpm, for example) close to a rated maximum rotation speed (1,400 rpm for example), becomes a previously set unbalance determining threshold value or more.
