PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an attachment for a vacuum cleaner with an excellent usability in cleaning a surface in a narrow space such as the inside of shelves or the floors under sofas, and a vacuum cleaner using the same. SOLUTION: The attachment for the vacuum cleaner has a suction port 30 for sucking dust at one end and a connecting portion 34 connected by communicating with the side of a vacuum cleaner body at the other end, the suction port 30 has a reduced opening space to the connecting portion 34 to form a main body 29, and a plurality of auxiliary suction ports 35 for sucking dust arranged longitudinally on the same surface of the periphery of the main body 29 are formed by being divided from the suction port 30. The vacuum cleaner can suck dust from each of the auxiliary suction ports 35, so that it has an improved usability in cleaning the surface in the narrow space such as the inside of the shelves or the floors under the sofas, and reduced noise, and can prevent sticking to a surface to be cleaned.
