PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a tailored blank material in which high speed welding of steel plates with different thickness is conducted by using a plasma arc welding method. SOLUTION: The method to manufacture the tailored blank material by the plasma arc welding of the steel plates with different thickness is characterized in that the thicker side of the plate is welded by the plasma arc welding by using a steel material containing 0.1% C or more and/or 0.8% Si or more at a welding speed of 0.8 m/min or more.
