PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game device capable of surely detecting a prize paid out of a prize paying out hole without respect to its size by a simple structure and capable of detecting the size of the paid out prize. SOLUTION: This game device is provided with a cabinet for housing the prize and the prize paying out hole for paying out the prize. A prize passage detection part having a plurality of optical sensor units and reflection members reflecting infrared rays from the optical sensor units is arranged in the prize paying out hole. A prize passage detection area is formed by the optical sensor units. In this way, passage of the prize can be detected by means of the prize passage detection part, and its size can be computed. According to the size of the prize, various performance is carried out.
