<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating waste water capable of stabilizing the compaction of self-granulating sludge. SOLUTION: In the method for treating waste water, fluid passages 8a and 8b are formed inside a treatment tank 4 by a partition wall 6, ascending current is formed in the fluid passage 8a and descending current is formed in the fluid passage 8b by aerating waste water 2 to be treated in the fluid passage 8a, and the waste water 2 to be treated is treated while circulating and fluidizing self-granulating sludge 5 in the waste water 2 to be treated. In the method, the waste water to be treated is treated so that a G value defined by the formula G=[P/(V.μ)]<1/2> (wherein P is the power consumption energy (J/s) by aeration, V is the volume (m<3> ) of the waste water to be treated, andμis the coefficient of viscosity of water (Pa.s)) becomes 80-350 (1/s). In this case, the fluctuation of compaction of the self-granulating sludge 5 can be sufficiently prevented and the biological treating efficiency of the waste water 2 to be treated can be stabilized.</p> |
