PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve detection accuracy of the end of drying for realizing reduction in a drying time and effective drying performance in a washing-and- drying machine sequentially controlling a series of processes of washing, rinsing, spin-drying, and drying. SOLUTION: A cooling means is constructed of a water supply valve 31 and a cold water hose 33 for supplying water to cool down hot air inside a heat exchanger 32 and a cooling blower 34 blowing air to cool down the outside wall of the heat exchanger 32. A temperature difference during the drying process is measured by means of a thermistor 36 installed to the outside wall surface of the heat exchanger 32 and a thermistor 37 detecting a circulated air temperature in an outlet. When the temperature difference reaches a certain set value, a control means 38 carries out drying end detection. In the control means, a difference temperature set value is set according to an ambient temperature, and then, the difference temperature set value is reset according to a temperature during the drying process.
