PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means capable of easily removing burnt materials adhering to a casting and reducing a processing time and of man-hours. SOLUTION: A casting burnt and adhering material remover containing an organic solvent, whose viscosity is 3 mPas or less at 20 deg.C and whose boiling temperature is 100 deg.C or higher, such as propylene carbonate, diethyl carbonate or the like, is applied to the casting adhered with burnt and adhering materials and thereafter the removal work is carried out.
