A device for closing articles, in particular clothing and leatherwear in general includes a first half-shell (9) and first and second arms (8,7) whose inner heads (80,70) are hinged to the first half-shell (9), so that the first and second arms face each other and can rotate on respectively first and second rotation axes (Z1,Z2), with an outer head (800) of the first arm (8) being shaped in such a way as to be fastened to a corresponding first article (A1) and an outer head (700) of the second arm (7) being shaped in such a way as to be hooked to an engagement element (S) of a corresponding second article (A2), or fastened thereto. At least one element (O) is mutually connected with the inner heads (80,70) of the first and second arms (8,7). Elastic means (50), cooperate with the element (O) and the inner heads (80,70) to define a closing position (K) and an opening position (H).
