A vehicle door hinge mounting structure includes a retaining member 28, having a threaded hole 30, located in the interior of the door panel 2. A positioning bolt 11, which allows for the accurate positioning of the door hinge 5, is screwed into the threaded hole 30 via a positioning bolt passable hole 41 formed in the door panel. The positioning passable hole 41 is larger in diameter that the threaded hole 30 in the retaining member 28. Restrictive wall portions 32,33 are provided in the interior of the door panel for restricting movement of the retaining member so that the threaded hole 30 remains within the area defined by the positioning passable hole 41. This facilitates the assembly of the positioning bolt 11 within the structure. |
